Bibles (your own, open and accessible, as well as a set for the room)
Copy of Together for each child (include extras for visitors)
Classroom pack items: Teaching pictures, Bible memory poster, Books of the New Testament posters, Map of Paul’s journeys, “Come, travel with Paul” poster, and Stoplight card

White (Christ) candle and matches (use a tea light or votive candle in a container)

Session two: Invite a pastor or elder to talk about communion (optional; see Connect to the story on page 19).
Session three: The “Changes in the sand” Responding option calls for trays or pans filled with sand and some tools for raking (see page 26).
Session six: Invite a mission or service worker to speak about opening doors of faith (optional; see Connect to the story on page 43).
Session nine: You will need a variety of stencil shapes, including animals and large letters, for the “Upside down is a new creation” Responding activity (see page 62).
Session twelve: The “Layers of prayer” Responding option calls for colored sand (available at a craft store) and small glass jars or clear plastic containers with lids (see page 80).
Session thirteen: Invite someone to read the Bible story as Paul’s farewell speech (optional; see Hear the Bible story on page 84).
Session thirteen: Invite a guest to share about experiencing the leading of God’s spirit (see Connect to the story on page 85).
